The Hopkins Robotics team teaches a summer STEM program at the Foote School through a program called Horizons. This collaboration was initiated in the summer of 2016 by team alum and and previous robotics team captain Josh Ip '18. We have continued the program every summer since! Horizons is a program driven to provide summer enrichment to financially disadvantaged students grades K-5 in the New Haven area. In our STEM class, we teach topics ranging from Newton's laws to density, and we do a lot of engaging projects such as building bottle rockets and making homemade slime! We absolutely love working with the kids and cannot wait for next year!
